Construction of the modern premises of Nymburk railway firefighters begins
Firefighters of Správa železnic operate at a total of fourteen locations throughout the Czech Republic. “Their work is demanding in all aspects, so they deserve adequate facilities. At the same time, they must be prepared for sometimes difficult interventions, not only on the railway. For this purpose, among other things, the training areas will serve them as well,” says Minister of Transport Martin Kupka.
The dominating feature of the new complex in Nádražní Street will be the two-storey main building, which will house both premises for intervention equipment and the necessary facilities for firefighters. The builders will also construct a smaller garage building, a parking lot and other outdoor areas. The works will also include the necessary connections and relocation of utilities.
“Správa železnic invests considerable financial resources in modern firefighting equipment and we are not lagging behind in improving the working conditions for our firefighters. Practically at the same time we will build a modern facility not only here in Nymburk, but also in Cheb,” reminds Jiří Svoboda, Director General of Správa železnic.
The contractor is Metrostav DIZ, which submitted the lowest bid of CZK 158,210,532. “In addition to the fire station itself, we will also build complete facilities, including a training tower, run-up tracks, and a climbing wall. The building is located near the track facility, but the construction will not restrict train operation. I believe that the new facility will provide firefighters with optimal conditions for their work and training,” describes Milan Hromádka from the company Metrostav DIZ.Soubory ke stažení
