Another Construction of the Railway Junction Plzeň Begins. Even Bridges over Mikulášská Street Will Be Repaired.
The next stage of modernization of the Plzeň main station was ceremonially launched today by a gesture of tapping on a railway track with the participation of representatives of the main investor Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC), of the co-investor the statutory city of Plzeň and of representatives of the Plzeň Region and others. The goal of the launched construction is rebuilding the junction to a state that corresponds to its importance and the current requirements for competitive rail services.

New Traction Substation at Nymburk and Switching Station at Poříčany Ensure Safer and Faster Operation on a Key Line
Nymburk, 17 January 2017 – Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty festively completed the reconstruction of the traction substation at Nymburk and construction of a switching station at Poříčany. The new converter station and switching station play a key role in ensuring safety and reliable operation in respective line sections. The necessity of this construction’s implementation was based primarily on growing requirements for railway lines’ power feeding.

Ostrava Railway Junction Will Pass a Modernization Process, SŽDC Will Launch Project Preparation
The Central Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic discussed and approved the feasibility study of the railway junction Ostrava for further progress of project preparation. The winning option is a complete repair of a hitherto not modernized section of the railway junction Ostrava between stations Ostrava-Svinov and Ostrava hlavní nádraží including the establishment of a new outside-level rearrangement which removes collision runs of trains in individual directions.

Správa železniční dopravní cesty Continues Repairing Dozens of Railway Station Buildings
This year, Správa železniční dopravní cesty started small repairs of five dozens of railway station buildings in the Hradec Králové, Liberec and Pardubice Region. Up to the end of the year, SŽDC will have invested more than 25 million Czech crowns. In most cases this concerns repairs of waiting rooms’ interiors, changing of windows and doors and a complete exchange of roof covering. Constructors Have Completed the Modernization of Railway Station Český Těšín
Český Těšín, 15 December 2016 – Today, Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) ceremonially finished a complete reconstruction of Český Těšín station. The investments worth over one billion crowns followed a formerly completed optimization of the line Bystřice nad Olší – Český Těšín, of which it is the second part.

SŽDC Launched Minor Repairs of Stations in Morava, Slezsko and Vysočina
By taking over the management of stations in summer this year, Správa železniční dopravní cesty launched preparation and realization of the most necessary reparation works by the end of this year. Almost forty station buildings in Morava, Slezsko and Vysočina will be improved for almost 52 million crowns. It is usually about repairing the facades, roofs and replacing of doors or windows. The administrator of railways also plans to launch complete reparations of stations in Lipník nad Bečvou, Kuřim and Břeclav next year.

Stops on the Ústí nad Labem-Střekov-Děčín východ Line Relocated Closer to Villages
Ústí nad Labem, 8 December 2016 – Správa železniční dopravní cesty (the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration) improved parameters on the railway line Ústí nad Labem-Střekov – Děčín východ. The main objective of the project was to achieve a technical state corresponding to EU parameters and standards.
